Here's how to stay motivated to keep on top of your studies throughout the entire academic year...

To stay on top of your studies... to achieve the grades you want... to move into the career of your dreams... you need one thing and one thing alone. Motivation.

Motivation to wake up early, when you want to lie in.

Motivation to head to the library, when all of your friends are heading out to a party.

Motivation to keep revising for your next exam, even when you've only just finished revising for the last one.

But the problem with motivation is that it's not something that comes natural to us all the time. When things get tough, it tends to up and disappear.

So, how do you muster up the motivation to stay on top of your to-do list even on the bad days?! The short answer - you don't.

You stop searching for motivation and instead, you start utilising productivity tactics that keep you ticking off the tasks on your to-do list without even realising you're doing so.

Yes. With a little bit of prep work, you can actually trick yourself into acting productively without the internal battle of "I can't be bothered" .... "It's just too much effort" .... "I'm too exhausted" and the rest of the internal dialogue that starts churning around your mind, as soon as your motivation dissipates.

And here's a breakdown of exactly what these productivity secrets are:

Get Clear on the End Result

Getting clear on your end result is good for two reasons:

1. Recalling the long-term purpose behind your studying and getting clear on exactly what you're working towards, is going to help you persist with your studies even on the tough days.

2. Identifying your short term goals/deadlines will provide you with the clarity you need, to know what action you need to take next - helping you to avoid 'analysis paralysis'.

Analysis Paralysis is the inability to make a decision, and not only prevents productivity but also kills your motivation.

Start Chunking

Stop trying to tackle everything in one go - and instead start breaking your workload down into bite sized achievable chunks.

By dividing up a task (no matter how big or how small) into smaller chunks, and focusing on ONE chunk at a time, you’ll be far less likely to feel overwhelmed, overstressed and thus, unmotivated.

Work hard, but rest harder

Start prioritising REST.

Strategically implementing breaks throughout your study day not only acts as an incentive to keep studying... but it also ensures you don't end up burning out.

Burnout occurs when you push yourself past your healthy limits, causing you to feel empty, mentally exhausted, devoid of motivation, and beyond caring.

Sound familiar? If your inner voice said yes, then you must start resting more often.

Maximise the friction between yourself & procrastination

What do you do when you need to remember an important date? You write it down.

What do you do when you need to remember to take an important document with you to school, college or uni? You put it by the front door.

The smart part of you, knows that the not so smart part of you will in a months time, forget that important date - it knows that the barely conscious, morning version of you will forget to pack the document... so it prepares accordingly!

Priming your environment in a way that triggers you to act productively, whilst also maximising the friction between yourself and procrastination, is a sure fire way to keep you on ticking off your tasks each and every day!

But Lucy... "how do I do these things?"

That's exactly what I'll be sharing with you in my brand new 14 day challenge 'How to become your most productive self'.

Here's what you'll leave the challenge with:

  • Laser like clarity: You'll know exactly what you need to be doing to reach your study goals & meet your deadlines, why you need to be doing it and how to do it.

  • Stress free Study Sessions: So that you can stay focused and distraction free.

  • More ME time: Understand how to maximise your time & energy, so that you can spend MORE time enjoying your life and LESS time working.

  • Mental Resilience: Understand how to tackle your study (and life) challenges, without being thrown off course, becoming overwhelmed or burning out!

It's taken me 6 years, thousands of mental breakdowns and hundreds of hours worth of research (and although everyday is a learning day), I have finally found a productivity process that WORKS.

You've got TWO days left before the challenge begins (yes, we go live on 14th November)!

So STOP what you're doing and sign up now, so that before the year ends - you're already on your way to a success filled 2023!!
