Here's 4 things you need to make sure you've got the perfect desk set up...

No matter how young you are, after being slumped over at a desk all day everyday, your body's going to start crying out for some well needed TLC.

From neck pains, to an achy back, to eye strain and more... a poor desk set up is a breeding ground for discomfort. And if anything is going to get you procrastinating, it's this.

So, to make sure your workspace is set up in an ergonomic way - one that supports your body in a neutral position - here's a breakdown of exactly what you'll need to do...

The Chair

If you're a student, then I'm going to go ahead and say that you're spending a lot of time at your desk on a daily basis. For this reason it's worth investing in a great office chair that supports the natural curve of your back, has adjustable arm rests and a comfortable cushioned seat.

Trust me when I say that when I invested in a proper chair, my achy back and shoulder pain all but disappeared - something months of chiropractors and physio appointments had never been able to fix!

So, if you're going to skimp out on anything... don't let it be your desk chair!

An Adjustable Height Standing Desk

Investing in a desk that allows your arms and wrists to sit at a neutral position, can be somewhat of a 'big' investment when you're working with a student budget.

So, to avoid breaking the bank, you can instead invest in an adjustable height standing desk converter, allowing you to raise or lower the height of your work space. This will allow you to easily switch between sitting and standing at regular intervals throughout the day.

An External, Ergonomic Keyboard

To make sure your shoulders, arms and wrists are in the right position whilst you work, you'll need an external ergonomic keyboard.

So, make sure to look into investing in a keyboard that has a low, flat profile or one that tilts forward.

A Mouse that fits your Hand

The repetitive motions on your laptops touchpad or even on a standard mouse, can cause stress on your fingers and wrists... ultimately resulting in pain.

So, one final piece of your ergonomic desk setup, is a mouse that fits comfortably in your hand, allowing it to remain in a neutral position.

Once you've got these essentials, you can go ahead and decorate your desk with your wonderfully unique accessories, so as it's both stylish and effective!
